The Heart of Binderup Restaurant

From Grocery Store to Restaurant and Ice Bar – Here, memories live on in modern surroundings, where the sea meets history.

Kystvej 98 – Where the past and present meet at Binderup Beach

1950s - Today

Kystvej 98 is not just an address – it's a living piece of local history. Located at the corner of Kystvej and Binderup Strandvej, just a few steps from the child-friendly beach and the old pier, this property has been a gathering place for both residents and holidaymakers for generations.

As early as the mid-1900s, the place was a hub of activity. A grocery store by the water, busy beachgoers, and a campsite right next door. On the hill behind, you could see the former Binderup Strand Bathing Pension, and a little further up in the forest was a farm with a view of it all.

In 1960, the area was further transformed when Dansø Restaurant opened near the grocery store – a cozy dining spot that became a meeting point for summer visitors. The area buzzed with life, laughter, and ice-cold sodas.

Today, the building houses Binderup Restaurant and Ice Bar – a modern gathering place where both locals and visitors can enjoy everything from ice cream cones and cold drinks to delicious meals with a view of the water.

The place has been carefully modernized, but the original values have been preserved: closeness, local charm, and the feeling of being part of something genuine and warm. The decor, atmosphere, and excellent hospitality still create a special ambiance that ties the past together with the present.

A Part of Binderup's Soul

Kystvej 98 is more than just a building – it is a part of Binderup's identity. Generations meet here, memories are made here, and everyone is welcome. The old grocery store may have gotten a new look, but its heart still beats strongly in rhythm with the waves that crash against the shoreline.
